Dear Designers, Builders, and Dwellers,

Residential Tuesday brings you top housing news and analysis weekly
in this free email newsletter from the editors of ArchitectureWeek.

This week in ArchitectureWeek we're covering the American Institute of
Architecture Housing Design Awards for 2008:

   http://www.architectureweek.com/2008/0326/index.html

And there's at least one thing we seem to be unified on across the pond...

Annual house price growth stalled during March as prices
fell for the sixth month in a row, figures showed.

The average cost of a home in England and Wales has
increased by just 0.4% during the past year to average
£174,100, according to property information group Hometrack.

Prices continued their downward trend in March, falling by
0.2% during the month, with 29% postcode districts seeing a
	reduction in house prices.

The survey comes days after Nationwide Building Society said
house prices fell for the fifth month in a row in March,
dropping by 0.6%, while annual house price growth eased to
just 1.1%, its slowest rate for 12 years....

Urban Infill 02 is a prototype for affordable single-family
housing designed by Johnsen Schmaling Architects for a small
urban lot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Two interlocking modular
forms compose the house: a two-story wood-clad cube and a
	bar-shaped, single-story concrete block.

It's among the 19 housing projects recognized by the
American Institute of Architects (AIA) in its annual housing
awards. The 2008 honorees range from a barnlike home on Long
Island to a bright multifamily building in West Hollywood.

International Practice - ArchitectureWeek, 2008.0326
http://www.ArchitectureWeek.com/2008/0326/culture_1-1.html
International practice sounds glamorous and fun, but is it
something that your firm should consider?

Overseas work can be expensive, disruptive, and a serious
distraction. Some firms have even destroyed their domestic
practice by diverting too much energy and too many resources
	to foreign work.
