Are you making design and building business adjustments to move
with the current tough market? Drop us a line with your thoughts!

In 2007, the Chicago area's top 10 homebuilders closed on
approximately 7,200 new homes. That's a lot of beautiful new
residences - but the figure is a drop from 11,400 homes the
previous year. The top 10 produced $2.6 billion in revenue
last year, a decrease from $3.5 billion in the previous
	year.

Builder No. 50 on the 2007 list had a volume of $9.3
million; the previous year, builders with more than $20
million in revenue couldn't crack the top 50.

"The housing market is cyclical. It always has been and
always will be," said Andrew Konovodoff, division president
of Town & Country Homes, the No. 5 builder on the top 50
list. "Today's cycle is the best buyers market in decades."
