Dear Designers, Builders, and Dwellers,

Residential Tuesday brings you top housing news and analysis
every week in this free email newsletter from the editors of
ArchitectureWeek.

Back to basics time again, still... Read the trends and take your pick.

It has been a rough ride for home builders and their
shareholders for the past eight months or more. And more
tough love struck in mid-February, as U.S. housing starts
plunged a startling 14.3% from year-ago levels. The drop
far outpaced a consensus estimate that projected a mere
2.6% year-over-year slide. The starts slowdown was the
worst in a decade, and seemed just another bad-news hit
for the industry that has largely been credited with
lifting the U.S. economy out of the post-dot-com
	recession.

ArchitectureWeek is a green publication. By publishing
this professional design and building magazine online-only,
we save about 48 tons of paper monthly, or about 50 large
trees-worth every week, compared to reaching a similar
readership on paper - not counting these newsletters!
We provide ongoing pro-bono services to local non-profit
sustainability organizations. And our company offices are
powered by 100% wind energy through our local utility.
