Dear Designers, Builders, and Dwellers,

Residential Tuesday brings you top housing news and analysis
every week in this free email newsletter from the editors of
ArchitectureWeek.

Working with the housing industry in Japan some ten years ago, I was
impressed that virtually every unit for rent or sale was listed with
a scaled floor plan drawing. It's positive to see this practice
picking up at least in one leading market in the U.S. Do you use
floor plans in residential property marketing? Drop us a line and
let us know why, or why not.

"There are things New York apartments typically lack - a
yard, a parking place, a washer-dryer. But there is one
thing they do possess: floor plans, most often derived from
	buildings' original marketing materials.

"Floor plans are important when an apartment goes on the
market and a listing goes on the Web, real estate agents
say, because buyers in New York depend so heavily on them..."

Architecture Answer - for last issue's quiz...
The following projects were completed two years apart
during the same decade; Vietnam Veterans Memorial,
Washington DC; AT&T Building, New York; Thorncrown
Chapel; and the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art.
Who is the designer of each, and which in decade were
they built? If determining the decade is too easy, try
ordering them from oldest to newest.

ArchitectureWeek is a green publication. By publishing
this professional design and building magazine online-only,
we save about 48 tons of paper monthly, or about 50 large
trees-worth every week, compared to reaching a similar
readership on paper - not counting these newsletters!
We provide ongoing pro-bono services to local non-profit
