Dear Designers, Builders, and Dwellers,
Residential Tuesday brings together top housing news and analysis
every week, in this free email newsletter from the editors of
ArchitectureWeek.
Residential Design and Building News This Week
--------------------------------------------------------
Lagging as we'd expect expected, material prices remain high as the
overall U.S. housing market softens. From Australia to the U.S.,
expensive residential projects and premium products continue to
catch press interest, while in some areas densification points
hopefully toward more walkable development combinations.
Several stories this week represent an ongoing professionalization
of housing industry participants, from the new requirement of
certification for building code inspectors in Ohio, to regulatory
enforcement and overhaul in Malaysia, to the NAHB's professional
lobbying against home fire sprinkler requirements.

ArchitectureWeek is a green publication. By publishing
this professional design and building magazine online-only,
we save about 48 tons of paper monthly, or about 50 big
trees-worth every week, compared to reaching a similar
readership on paper - not counting these newsletters!
We provide ongoing pro-bono services to local non-profit
sustainability organizations. And our company offices are
powered by 100% wind energy through our local utility.
