Pike Loop
Storefront for Art and Architecture
97 Kenmare Street
New York, NY, USA

Storefront for Art and Architecture, New York, NY The first U.S. architectural project to be built on site by an industrial robot! Located on Pike Street, in downtown Manhattan, the robot, R-O-B, will work for up to four weeks—in full view of the public—to construct a brick wall, a highly sculptural response to the specific identity of the site. Pike Loop is part of an exhibition showcasing research by the Swiss architects Gramazio & Kohleron into full-scale digital fabrication in architecture using industrial robots.
