Designers, developers, energy consultants, homeowners, and building officials learn about high- performance residential energy design and construction approaches to minimize the operational energy use of buildings in the residential sector. The course covers specific analytical approaches to quantify residential building energy savings through efficiency, conservation, and generation. Students learn how to decipher state and national building energy codes, and analyze energy efficiency, conservation, and site-generation measures to make their own projects zero-energy homes.
