Egon Eiermann - The Continuity of Modernism
Bauhaus-Archiv Berlin
Klingelhöferstraße 14
D - 10785, Berlin, Germany

The first major retrospective of Egon Eiermann's life and work marks the occasion of this prominent architect's one-hundredth birthday. Furniture and interior objects developed by Egon Eiermann, which remain highly popular even today, constitute a special aspect of his work. Familiar objects, such as Eiermann's table bases, will be on display in the exhibition, but it will also include unexpected items such as casket designs, which reflect Eiermann's interest in finding an appropriate modern aesthetic for funerary objects.
