    Decorative Limestone Plasters

SuperStrata has adapted limestone plaster for a wide variety of modern and contemporary applications, going beyond the traditional high-polished aesthetic of Venetian plaster. The company introduces materials such as clay, mica, semiprecious stones, and geometric and screen-printed patterns to the limestone plaster, which is an elastic, durable, luminous, mold-resistant medium that lends itself to deep coloration. One new finish is "Boucle" (pictured), reminiscent in texture of the bouclé fabric popularized by Coco Chanel. Other recent additions to the line of wall finishes incorporate glittering mica, and broken silver or gold leaf. Color is customizable.

    Washer-Dryer Combo

Fagor America offers a combination washer-dryer. This space-saving, front-loading appliance washes and dries clothes in the same unit, with a 13-pound (six-kilogram) wash capacity. A variety of options are available through a control panel with an LCD screen, including separate wash and dry cycles, spin speed regulation, and delayed start times. An electronic system balances weight distribution, and a drum-reversing system helps prevent wrinkles in clothes. The drying system is a condensing dryer: water vapor from the exhaust air is condensed and drained, permitting the dehumidified air to be reused in the dryer, thus eliminating the need for exhaust ductwork. Available in white or silver.

    Modified Wood

Accoya® wood from Accsys Technologies undergoes a patented acetylation process to increase dimensional stability and durability. This Cradle to Cradle Gold-certified modified softwood is suitable for exterior applications where exposure to moisture is a concern, such as in decking (pictured), windows, doors, cladding, and glulam structural beams. The treatment reduces the shrink-and-swell cycle, allowing coatings to last longer, and also creates a barrier to some insects, including termites. Guaranteed for 50 years in above-ground applications and for 25 years in-ground or in applications involving freshwater immersion or exposure to saltwater spray, such as marina decking. Low maintenance. Sourcing includes FSC-certified wood.

    PVC-Free Wall Protection

Construction Specialties (C/S) offers the Acrovyn® 4000 line of PVC-free interior wall and door protection. The product line includes handrails, crash rails, corner guards, door and frame protection, wall panels, and wall covering, all Cradle to Cradle-certified at the Gold or Silver level. The new modified PETG (glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate) formula offers the same impact resistance and UL Class 1 fire rating as the original Acrovyn, and costs no more. Contains no polyvinyl chloride (PVC), persistent bioaccumulative toxins (PBTs), bisphenol A (BPA), or halogenated fire-retardants. New contemporary, low-profile textures and a lower gloss level improve the aesthetics, cleanability, color consistency, and end-cap-to-profile match. Completely recyclable.

    Modular Living Wall

DIRTT Environmental Solutions introduces Breathe™, a modular system that incorporates plants into office walls. The modules can be mounted on any flat vertical building surface, including gypsum, concrete, stone, or the company's own walls. The design accommodates three sizes of plant pots that integrate into a modular slat wall surface. Scalable and easily expanded from one panel to a wall of plants, these installations effectively separate the watering system from the plant pots and peat-based growing medium. Patent pending. The use of plants to improve indoor air quality in LEED-targeting projects has helped secure LEED Innovation Credit 1.2.
