Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
Architecture Puzzler #419
Question
Imagine that you knew nothing about electricity and, when visiting your new home under construction, you asked your electrician to explain to you the term "electrical current." How would she describe this term?
Answer
She would probably say something like this: "Electrical current is a measure of the amount of electrical charge transferred per unit time. It represents the flow of electrons (or ions) through a conductive material and is measured in amperes. In buildings this flow is typically through the building's wiring."
