Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
Architecture Puzzler #418
Question
How would you define "thermal lag factor"?
Answer
The thermal lag factor is the time it takes for radiant heat gain entering a space to be absorbed into the room air and become part of the load on the cooling system. This lag time is impacted by the thermal capacity of the materials within the space.
