    Quizzical Pursuit
    —The Architecture Puzzler

    Created by Dave Guadagni

    Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
    Architecture Puzzler #396

    Question

What is the average age of a first-time home buyer in the United States — 28, 32, or 36 years old? What is the average number of years U.S. home buyers stay in their first home — four, six, or eight years?

    Answer

The average age of first-time U.S. home buyers is 32 years old, and they tend to stay in their first home four years. These numbers will vary with location, and given the current state of the housing market in the United States, both are likely to increase.
