Energy Star Glass Walls from NanaWall

NanaWall® introduces the WD66 wood-framed wall system with Heat Mirror® glazing. This Energy Star-qualified product offers an energy-efficient solution for large architectural openings, contributing high insulative properties, and facilitating daylighting and passive cooling. The wall system performs well in a wide range of climates and provides high weather resistance and structural performance. It is available with various folding doors and folding window combinations, matching French doors, transoms, side lites, and corner posts. Options include 50 stacking configurations and a variety of woods and finishes. Photo: Andrea Brizzi © New York Institute of Technology

    3D Models from RedEye ARC

RedEye ARC, a new division of RedEye RPM™, produces 3D scaled replica models of residential and commercial buildings. Fused deposition modeling® technology offers time and cost savings over traditional modeling methods. The plastic models are accurate, durable, and interactive, allowing clients to remove floors to view each interior floor plan and its features. Because the models are built from the bottom up, details such as stone, tile, appliances, and fixtures are possible, helping architects to easily communicate designs to their clients.

    Energy-Efficient Structural Insulated Panels

Premier Building Systems produces prefabricated structural insulated panels (SIPs), an energy-efficient building product with higher wholewall efficiency than traditional two-by-six, R-19 construction. This framing product can be used for the construction of entire building envelopes — floors, walls, and roofs — in homes and other buildings. Created by sandwiching a core of expanded polystyrene insulation between two layers of oriented strand board, these panels provide a durable and virtually airtight alternative to traditional stick-frame construction. Prefabrication allows faster framing time, reducing construction costs and jobsite waste. Manufactured to specification; stock panels also available. SIPs can contribute to LEED points.

    Steam Shower Music System

ThermaSol has introduced the new Serenity Light and Music System for its steam showers. The compact, in-shower system includes a full-spectrum LED light system for chromatherapy, and a built-in FM receiver with two inputs for CD, DVD, or TV. Components are mounted behind a ten-inch (25-centimeter) solid-brass ceiling grill, machined to match the new traditional and contemporary series of controls and steamheads. An optional waterproof hand-held remote, available in matching finishes, controls all the functions from inside the shower.
