    Reclaimed Building Materials from Italy

Tuscan Resource imports Italian building materials for use in reproducing Tuscan and Mediterranean home styles in the United States. An extensive selection of natural stone is available for architects and builders, including marble, limestone, and travertine, in a variety of finishes. Reclaimed building materials from century-old Italian farmhouses include terracotta roof tiles and floor tiles, wood beams, and antique limestone, and decorative pieces such as antique olive jars and lemon pots. Tuscan Resource's master artisans can create custom fireplaces, fountains, and wrought-iron gates. The owners personally supervise stone choices, custom fabrication, and shipping. This family-owned business is based in Florence, Italy, and Menlo Park, California.

Caroma Urinal in BuildingGreen Top 10

The Cube³ Ultra urinal from Caroma has been selected by BuildingGreen as one of the Top 10 Green Building Products for 2007. This high-efficiency urinal introduces a liquid-sensing automatic flushing mechanism that detects usage rather than motion to activate the electronic flush valve. An integrated logic system prevents accidental flushing to ensure water savings. The flush volume is a low one pint (0.5 liters). The high-gloss vitreous china surface resists discoloration and makes cleaning easy. Concealed components create a sleek aesthetic and reduce the risk of vandalism, while hands-free operation improves hygiene.

    Bracket-Mounted Gutter System

The RHEINZINK® snap-lock bracket system offers a secure gutter-mounting option that is quick and easy to install. The C-profile bracket-mounting rail fastens easily onto the fascia or roof edge. Gutter brackets then snap into the rail. The system supports half-round gutters, which snap into the brackets. RHEINZINK gutters and downspouts consist of a titanium-zinc alloy that is 100-percent recyclable and has been used extensively throughout Europe for decades. They are available in three finishes: Bright Rolled, Pre-Weathered Pro Blue Gray, and Pre-Weathered Pro Graphite Gray.
