    Residential Touchless Faucet

ShowHouse® by Moen® has introduced Destiny™ — a sleek, hands-free bathroom faucet for the home. The simply-styled spout produces a sheeting flow of water when its infrared sensors detect motion. Because it runs only when needed, the Destiny faucet conserves water. The touchless activation also limits the spread of germs. Destiny meets ADA requirements for accessibility. Complementary chrome-finish bath accessories are available.

    Innovative Wall Panel System

The accel-E™ Steel Thermal Efficient Panel (S.T.E.P.) Wall System combines cold-formed steel framing and expandable polystyrene into prefabricated structural insulating panels. The proprietary production technology creates a single, easily installed system to replace traditional framing, insulation, and sheathing components. The system improves building energy efficiency and the panels are recyclable, contributing points toward LEED certification. The materials are resistant to fire, mold, mildew, and termites. Panels are prefabricated for each project's specifications. Available in a variety of thicknesses, in widths ranging from 5.5 to 8 inches (14 to 20.3 centimeters), and in heights up to 48 feet (14.6 meters). From Accelerated™ Building Technologies, LLC, a company formed by Dietrich Metal Framing and NOVA Chemicals.

    Metal Architectural Drapery

Wire-mesh fabrics from Cascade Coil Drapery, Inc. provide interesting visual texture in a wide range of architectural and interior design applications. The metal drapery is permeable to air, light, and sound, while providing a distinct sense of space separation for store displays, restaurant dividers, or light security functions, discretely maintaining space divisions without compromising sightlines. The round-weave wire fabrics can also be used on walls and ceilings for unique sculptural and lighting effects. Cascade Coil's products use standard drapery hardware. Outdoor applications include outdoor sculptures, decorative metal cladding, and semipermeable shading. Also available for fireplace screens and wildlife enclosures.

    Manage AC Energy Demand

The Ice Bear® hybrid air conditioning system from Ice Energy® is designed to shift AC electrical demand from peak daytime hours to off-peak periods, when energy is less expensive and its use is less polluting. The Ice Bear shifts up to 95 percent of AC load and still provides full cooling performance. Such "permanent load-shifting" technologies provide benefits to both utilities and consumers, including added protection against power shortages during heat waves and reduced reliance on the construction of new power-generation plants. California's PG&E "Shift and Save" program offers rebates and annual incentives for adding the Ice Bear system to existing and new air conditioning equipment.
