    "Calliope" Chandelier from Eleek

The new "Calliope" chandelier by Eleek, Inc. is an integration of art glass, steel, and recycled cast aluminum. Eleek's designer, Eric Kaster, was inspired by the French film "City of Lost Children," with its surreal sets and props, at once organic and mechanical. Calliope exemplifies the handcrafted building products that Eleek designs and manufactures, also including sculpture, cast-metal sinks, hardware, tiles, restoration, point-of-purchase displays, and architectural details. The company offers design and presentation support and custom development, with extensive experience in manufacturing, patterns, casting, fabrication, woodworking, glass extrusion, vacuum plastic, and custom finising — all while employing recycled and recyclable materials and environmentally sustainable and practices.

    Mohawk Modular Carpet

Mohawk's Synergy commercial carpet collection was designed to enhance corporate and institutional interiors by combining the aesthetic of a fresh, earth-toned palette with four richly textural designs: Synthesis, Fusion, Suspension, and Convergence. Additional environmental concerns motivated the use of SIMS technology (sample simulation instead of physical sample production) during the design phase, eliminating significant waste during product development. By increasing the reuse of their product line, by incorporating fully recyclable Type 6 nylon material backed with the new PVC-free Encycle™ backing system, Mohawk offers builders and clients a model of sustainable design.
