British architect Colin St. John "Sandy" Wilson died in London, United Kingdom, on May 14, 2007, at age 85. Wilson is best known for designing The British Library in London, a fraught project that was in the works from 1962 to 1997.
In collaboration with his wife, M.J. Long, and her London firm, Long & Kentish Architects, Sandy Wilson designed a new wing for the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester to house the art collection the couple had donated. That project opened in 2006 and received a 2007 RIBA Award (South East region) on May 17, 2007.
Wilson attended Cambridge University, and graduated from Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London in 1949. He then worked in the London County Council architects department. In 1956 he became a lecturer of architecture at Cambridge and later became a professor (1975). He was also the author of several books, including The Other Tradition of Modern Architecture: The Uncompleted Project (1995, revised 2007).

Denis Glen Kuhn, FAIA, of Manhasset, New York, died in the Dominican Republic on May 10, 2007, at age 65, while touring a project site for his firm, New York City-based Ehrenkrantz Eckstut & Kuhn Architects (EE&K).
