Shake-Style Impact-Resistant Shingle

The Presidential Shake™ impact-resistant asphalt shingle features two laminated layers of the industry’s most durable roofing materials engineered with a tough fiberglass scrim on the back for a UL 2218 Class 4 Impact Resistance rating. Hip and ridge products and impact-resistant starter shingles are required to ensure the entire roof meets Class 4 requirements. The shingle profile incorporates a unique sculptured tab that replicates the depth and dimension of traditional wood shakes, giving roofs the classic luxury shake look, with the added resilience that allows the benefits of reduced insurance premiums and a lifetime limited warranty.

New Snow Guards for Safety

EcoStar has introduced a line of pad and pipe-style snow guards, for steep-slope roofing systems, which offer protection against the potential dangers of rooftop snow. Engineered to meet a variety of snow loads, these guards create friction that is evenly distributed over an entire roof surface. Once rooftop snow begins to melt, the snow guards help break it into small pieces that pose less danger to objects below. These snow guards feature pad-style, Kynar-coated aluminum that is color-matched to each of the nine EcoStar tile shades. They can be conveniently installed with the same siliconized bronze roofing nails.

Mohawk Commercial Goes Post Modern

Mohawk Commercial is responding to a demand for versatility and flexibility in contract carpet tile by creating impressive options such as the Post Modern line. With strong architectural traits, these geometric designs are calibrated to incrementally increase in scale in each of the three patterns — beginning with Hyper-Reality (bottom right), progressing to Complexity (background), and then to Abstraction (top left). The tonal definition is achieved with all solution-dyed nylon. The tip-sheared loop construction accentuates the texture and adds dimension.
