    SPD-Smart™ Light-Control Film

"Tunable" shading, greater security, energy efficiency, and easy use are among the many benefits of patented SPD (suspended particle device) light-control technology. Windows, doors, skylights, and partition walls using SPD film give users the ability to instantly and precisely control the amount of light, glare, and heat entering their living and working environments. SPD-Smart products also offer up to 99 percent protection against ultraviolet (UV) light, can be used with either glass or plastic substrates, and cost just pennies to operate. The system is designed to resist hurricane winds (230+ mile-per-hour UL rating), fires, earthquakes, hail, pest infestation, and rot. Met-Tile comes in ten designer colors with an energy-efficient finish that meets Energy Star® guidelines.

    The Art of Blacksmithing

The Artist-Blacksmith's Association of North America (ABANA) is dedicated to perpetuating the art of blacksmithing. A nonprofit educational association, the organization has biennial conferences, presents awards, and provides a quarterly magazine to members. A listing of affiliates and educational and other resources can be found on ABANA's website. Thirty years ago, ABANA began with only 20 blacksmiths who had a vision. Their vision has unfolded with a membership that has grown to over 5,000 strong.
