OWP/P has offices in Chicago, Illinois, and Phoenix, Arizona, and has a staff of over 250. The firm's services include architecture, interiors, engineering, planning, and consulting.

    The Applied Technology Group of RTKL Associates, Inc. has named Hani Wahbi, M.S., P.E. as an associate. Wahbi has ten years international experience as an electrical engineer, and has been involved in the design and development of several facilities including the Target Corporation Center, the Mountainside Data Center, and the Miami Veterans Administration Medical Center. Wahbi previously served as lead electrical engineer for Stanley Consultants in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

    GKK Works has completed the new Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation in Pomona, California, a hospital for people who are relearning how to walk, use their limbs, and care for themselves after disabling accidents and illnesses. The $32,000,000 Casa Colina Center features large areas for family and visitors to interact with patients, as well as hotel rooms, open arcades and walkways, and outdoor courtyards for exercise and rehabilitation. Andrew Wheeler, AIA is the principal in charge of healthcare design for GKK Works, which is based in Newport Beach, California.

    Lyons Warren, of San Diego, California, is designing the new St. Gregory of Nyssa Greek Orthodox Church. Plans for the project include a small chapel and offices, a multipurpose building, and a main chapel featuring a 38-foot diameter domed roof with vibrant stained glass windows around the perimeter. Estimated cost for the 15,000-square-foot building is $3,000,000. Located in El Cajon, California, the church's design is intended to reflect Greek Mediterranean architecture.

    Five new employees have been hired at BSA Lifestructures Chicago, Illinois offices. Janie Shestopalov is a new mechanical engineer with the design team, Marcin Sowinski joins the mechanical engineering plumbing department, Sara Ferguson and Paul Gadja are graduate architects, and Barbara Stasell is the new Chicago office manager. The firm specializes in health care and higher education design.

    The Maryland firm of GWWO, Inc./Architects has added LaShawn O. Hazel, AIA to its architectural staff. Hazel is currently a member of the design team for historic documentation and renovation of the Civil War-era structure, Lockwood House, in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. GWWO, Inc. specializes in planning and design for cultural and educational facilities.

    California-based architectural firm Johnson Fain has been chosen to do design work for nine major mixed-use projects in urban Southern California. The projects will contain more than 4,000 housing units and approximately 200,000 square feet of retail and service space. The housing projects include luxury new sites as well as conversions of older buildings.

    Marc Davidson, AIA has joined the Los Angeles, California office of HGA Architects & Engineers, a full-service architecture, engineering and planning firm, as associate vice president and project manager. Davidson has more than 30 years of experience in the field, and has worked on many notable projects, including the Todd Cancer Institute at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and the Replacement Patient Tower at Simi Valley Hospital and Health System. Prior to joining HGA, Davidson served as associate vice president for Cannon Design in Los Angeles.
