Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
Architecture Puzzler #219
Question
If your wood floor finisher complained to his more experienced partner that the finish was "crawling" and he couldn’t figure out why, his partner would probably tell him what?
Answer
Crawling is a defect in which the wet coating recedes from small areas of the surface, leaving them uncoated. Usually it is caused by surface contamination, but it can sometimes be caused by a product formulation defect.
