    —The Architecture Puzzler

    Created by Dave Guadagni

    Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
    Architecture Puzzler #214

    Question

The TCA Handbook, AWI Standards, NRCA Manual, and the SMACNA Manual are some of my technical design resources. What do the acronyms stand for and what type of information do they offer?

    Answer

TCA — Tile Council of America — for ceramic tile installations.

AWI — American Woodwork Institute — for casework and trim quality standards.

NRCA — National Roofing Contractors Association — for roof system guidelines and sample specifications.

SMACNA — Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association — for sheet metal detailing.
