Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
Architecture Puzzler #208
Question
Why did Frank Lloyd Wright have three-legged chairs designed for his 1904 Larkin Building?
Answer
"Sit straight or fall," Wright said of his chairs designed to force workers to sit upright. After a few years of complaints and worker bruises, he allowed a fourth leg to be added — or so the story goes.
