    Quizzical Pursuit
    —The Architecture Puzzler

    Created by Dave Guadagni

    Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
    Architecture Puzzler #203

    Question

What is the difference between a half-mortise and a half-surface hinge?

    Answer

They are similar hinges except that a half-mortise hinge is surface-mounted on the jamb and mortised into the door, while a half-surface hinge is surface-mounted on the door and mortised into the jamb.
