Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
Architecture Puzzler #158
Question
Your daughter is brushing her teeth with the tap running and your son is taking a shower with a regular shower head. How much water does each use? How much water would a low-flow shower head use?
Answer
On average, brushing teeth with the tap running uses 10 gallons (38 liters) of water. An average shower with a regular head uses 30 gallons (114 liters), and the same shower with a low-flow head uses 15 gallons (57 liters).
