Montréal, Québec is a North American city with European flair and a crossroads of economic, cultural, and scientific influences. The festive city hosts four major universities, several research centers, and many cultural and sporting events. It is a leading North American convention venue. Reflecting this diversity, Montréal's architecture and urban development represent both new and traditional economic forces.

The "Quartier International" — located between the city's business core and picturesque Old Montréal — is a modern urban setting. The lively and prestigious environment has re-emerged from an area that had been rendered dysfunctional by the intrusion of the Ville-Marie expressway. Including the investment in related infrastructure, the Quartier International is the largest redevelopment project in Canada.

Urban designers Daoust Lestage Inc. and Provencher Roy & Associates have created this new, congenial urban space in the heart of downtown, linking existing pedestrian networks and restoring the sector's main circulation axes.   >>>
