Exterior overview of Classic Home 024, designed by Charles E. White, Jr., Architect
"Here is a fine Western type of house which is suitable for a comparatively small lot. The porch, included in the floor plan, forms an outdoor vestibule for the entrance to the large living room, in which there is a cheerful fireplace. The opening into the dining room might be widened, if desired, to turn almost the entire first floor into one room. A Colonial stairway leads to the second floor. Face brick walls."
From 500 Small Houses of the Twenties, complied by Henry Atterbury Smith, from "The Books of a Thousand Homes," copyright 1923. The 1990 edition is published by Dover Publications, ISBN 0-486-26300-2.
