"Here is a design that will stand out among any group of houses as an example of fine architectural composition. As shown below, broadside to the street, it would require a frontage of 50 feet (15 meters), in order to give ample room on the sides. If, however, it is desired to turn the house endwise, with the living room and porch toward the street, it may be placed upon a 40-foot (12-meter) lot, leaving sufficient room for a driveway. If desired, the fireplace may open on the porch side."
