    Quizzical Pursuit
    —The Architecture Puzzler

    Created by Dave Guadagni

    Solution to Last Week's Puzzler
    Architecture Puzzler #61

    Question

If a vandal threw a rock at your window, would the window be more likely to survive if the glazing were tempered safety glass or laminated safety glass?

    Answer

Tempered glass is more difficult to break but when broken, the glazing will fall away in small crumbs allowing the vandal to enter. Laminated safety glass is easier to break but holds together after breaking making it more difficult to go through the opening.
