NAHB 2001 Atlanta Showcase
by ArchitectureWeek
In February, 2001, nearly 73,000 construction professionals from 95 countries descended upon Atlanta, Georgia for what its organizers say is the world's largest construction industry trade show.
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) 2001 International Builders Show also incorporated the International Commercial Construction Exposition (ICCON) and tecHOMExpo. On display for the event were thousands of building tools and products including electronic devices to automate twenty-first century houses.
One popular highlight of the event was the 18th annual New American Home Tour. Visitors viewed a new house, shown here, which featured some of the latest in appliances — and some of the oldest in design principles.
As well as perusing new products during the four-day event, builders from every segment of the industry had the opportunity to further their education in such areas as marketing, design, and computer technology.
