Special Treatment at Vent Vert
by ArchitectureWeek
The Vent Vert Spécialité shop at Morumbi shopping center in São Paulo, Brazil is devoted to beauty treatments with the participation of several perfume and cosmetic brands for both women and men.
To fit the intricate marketing program of an exclusive beauty shop within the generic confines of a standard Mall slot, the local firm Marcap Arquitetura has creatively lighted and layered transparencies with high-touch materials. Within the resulting free plan, three exhibition areas are distinguished by color, material, and illumination.
The front of the shop presents the initial invitation to customers with floors of stainless steel and quartz-granite. On the balcony above, special lighting spotlights mannequins, like a stage of sculptures where products are cast as art pieces to be appreciated for novelty and style.
In the central area, themed for Lâncome brand, staff and customers float on glass flooring, raised above real water flowing across a mosiac of glass pastilles.
